Undergraduate Mathematics Study Program of Brawijaya University Held a Workshop on Module Handbook Making

The Undergraduate Mathematics Study Program (PSM), Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Science (FMIPA), Brawijaya University held a workshop on Course Learning Outcomes (CLO) making and preparation of Module Handbook for three days, on January 24th to 26th, 2020 at Jambuluwuk Convention Hall and Resort, Batu. The workshop aimed to generate CLO of every course that would become a reference for the lecturers in carrying out the lectures.

CLO was formulated by one or several Intended Learning Outcomes (ILO) which is charged on the Course.

In addition, the preparation of Module Handbook was also done in the workshop, which contained a variety of information associated with the planning, implementation, and assessment of learning process. The information that was presented in the Module Handbook included the identity of the course, workload, prerequisites, methods, learning media, course syllabus, methods and criteria for evaluation, CLO, and literature for references used.

This workshop was opened by the Dean of the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Prof. Drs. Adi Susilo, M.Si. , Ph.D. In his speech, he emphasized the importance of accreditation of Study Program and Higher Education and mentioned the efforts of FMIPA to oversee the efforts of SP to achieve ASIIN International accreditation (Akkreditierungsagentur für Studiengänge der Ingenieurwissenschaften, der Informatik, der Naturwissenschaften und der Mathematik).

The workshop was started by the explanation of CLO by Dr. Wuryansari Muharini K, M.Si. Then, it was continued by CLO preparation of all Courses of Mathematics Study Program guided by Corina Karim, S.Si., M.Si., Ph.D.

The second day of the workshop was filled with activities of CLO Weighting on assessment item, synchronization of CLO with the course syllabus, and the preparation of Module Handbook.

Preparation of Module Handbook of each course was done by the course coordinators after discussing with all lecturers of the courses concerned.

At the last day, all participants had discussions in order to carry out an evaluation of Module Handbook which had been made , and then performed the determination of Module Handbook of all courses of PSM UB.***
