Welcome to the Actuarial Laboratory, Mathematics Department, FMIPA Universitas Brawijaya. The Actuarial Laboratory serves the Tri Dharma PT (Education, Research and Community Service) based on actuarial science. Actuarial Science is a branch of mathematics that integrates the concepts of opportunity, statistics, mathematics, finance as well as computers and data science. Actuarial Science is basically the study of risk management and insurance.
The Actuarial Laboratory consists of 4 Mathematics Lecturers, namely: Dr. Isnani Darti S.Si., M.Si. , Dra. Endang Wahyu H., M.Si., Mila Kurniawaty S.Si., M.Si., Ph.D. and Dr. Dra. Umu Sa'adah, M.Si.
The Actuarial Laboratory is a research laboratory in the Mathematics Department, which is a medium for developing knowledge, especially in the actuarial field, for lecturers and students, both undergraduate, master and doctoral. Thus teaching and research studies carried out in the Actuarial Laboratory will always be dynamic in line with renewable science and technology.
For the actuarial-based community service program, we designed a community service roadmap, which is adjusted to the roadmap of the Mathematics Department and the UB Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences roadmap. In addition, we have also designed partnerships with several Financial Service Industries from the Government and the private sector.
In closing, we hope that the actuarial laboratory website can change the mathematical paradigm to be beautiful, attractive and easy for the public to understand.
